Levant Mine - Steps to Man Engine

Levant Mine is known for its 'Man Engine' which lowered workers up and down the mine shafts. They stepped onto and off the vertically moving platforms to reach the level they were working on. It was used from 1856 until 1919. These are the steps down to the shaft that lead to the 'man engine'.
